NEW!! INCubatoredu Program … looking for Entrepreneurs, Mentors & Business Professionals to help Niles North Students

Have you heard about the INCubatoredu program at Niles North High School?

In its first official year, INCubatoredu@nnhs will provide students with the opportunity to learn firsthand the ins and outs of starting, operating, and working for a business. Students enrolled in the program will work in teams to create, and fully develop, their own product or service, culminating in a Shark Tank-style pitch for funding that will allow students to run their business from our classroom! But, we need your help!

If you are looking to give back to your old stomping grounds, our program is looking for committed community members, engaging business leaders, and enthusiastic entrepreneurs to help guide and mentor our students as they form their very own businesses. The volunteer roles are listed below:

Coach – An industry expert who will play the role of the teacher for a specific subject (marketing, finance, tech). Time Commitment: 1-3 school days during regularly scheduled class time.

Mentor – Work with ONE of our 12 teams for the entire year offering  guidance and resources. Time Commitment: Meet with the team at least 2 times a month during school hours or before/after school.

Board of Advisors – Sit on a panel for the mid-year viability pitch and/or possibly the final launch pitch. Also acts as a general volunteer. Time Commitment: 1-4 hours twice a year.

All participating volunteers will be working directly with our students and will be required to be fingerprinted and provide consent for a background check.
