Dear D219 Parent/Guardian,
We hope your family was able to enjoy a safe and relaxing winter break. Our second semester classes are off to a smooth start, and our faculty and staff members are working hard to keep our students engaged.
We are closely monitoring the metrics regarding COVID-19 cases in Cook County and in our community to determine if and when it will be safe for us to begin bringing students back to school for one of the hybrid learning options. Our top priority is the health and safety of our students and our staff members, and that priority will drive our decisions about when and how we bring students back to school.
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to review our Return to School document and video. Links to both are available here.
In order for us to make specific plans for students to come back for hybrid learning, we need to know how many students want to return to school for an in-person hybrid option, and how many students will choose to keep learning remotely for the rest of this school year.
To that end, we ask you to discuss this with your students, and we ask parents and guardians to please fill out and submit the Hybrid Learning Survey that is posted in your Campus Parent portal by Monday, January 18. As a result, please know that our soft return date will be pushed back to an undetermined date and time. A return to some form of in-person learning will be determined after we receive results of this survey and have reviewed all revised logistical needs.
When you sign in to Campus Parent, on the Message Center page, click on the tab that says Surveys. Then click on Parent/Guardian Hybrid Learning Survey.
Only one parent/guardian needs to complete the Hybrid Learning Survey for each student. Do you have more than one D219 student in your household? In the Campus Parent portal, you will see one survey per student — allowing you to quickly record the selected learning method for each student.
Please note: It is very important that you complete and submit this survey. If you do not submit the survey, the default choice will be that your student will continue learning remotely for the rest of this school year.
Thank you for your continuing cooperation and your patience as we work through this.
