The student company members of the Niles West production of “Les Misérables: School Edition” decided to raise money for two worthy charities. The company donated over $1,500 to A Better Life For Kids (ABLFK), an international charity that helps fund family houses in Ghana for high-risk children in orphanages, as well as advocate and provide for their needs. It is also the Dance Marathon charity for 2017-18. The company also donated over $5,500 to Mudlark Theater. Through the money raised, Niles West Theatre will fund scholarships for over 50 students to take part in Mudlark’s summer theater camp. Thus, children in the Niles West neighborhood will be able to use their talents, share their stories, and create theater this summer as a result of this financial assistance. Thank you to Andy Sinclair, Justin Johnson, Matthew Hunter, DaJuan Brooks, Sam Rosenfeld, Mackay DuFour and the company members of the Niles West production of “Les Misérables: School Edition” for making this possible.
