Takumi Iseda has worked in the field of school district communications since 2011 and served as the Director of Communications at Evanston Township High School District 202 from 2018-2023. She has extensive experience overseeing the day-to-day communications operations of a school district and has collaborated with multiple leaders and departments to positively impact student outcomes. Takumi has worked in areas of digital communication, school publications and marketing, news media relations, crisis communications, maintaining brand guidelines, and public relations strategies. Previously, Takumi worked in the nonprofit sector in a variety of roles, including public relations and project management, community outreach and advocacy, and marketing and event coordination.
Takumi earned a B.S. in Communication from Northwestern University. As part of her equity work in education, she is a trained facilitator for SEED (Seeking Educational Equity & Diversity). She received the Those Who Excel Award of Excellence from the Illinois State Board of Education in 2018. Takumi enjoys traveling, especially with her husband and two daughters, and trying new foods.
