Photo Students Win Awards in MHA Multimedia Contest

Niles North students in Ms. Melissa Connell’s Digital Photo 2 classes took first, second and third places in the 2018 Essay and Multimedia Contest hosted by Mental Health America of the North Shore in Evanston. This year’s theme was “How do you maintain self-confidence in today’s competitive environment?” Almond Gamwo took first place for her digital photo narrative, Isaiah Tong received second place, and Omar Saeed placed third. The students will be recognized in an award ceremony on Sunday, April 22 at the Glenview Public Library, 1930 Glenview Road, Glenview.

Since 2003, Mental Health America of the North Shore has sponsored a contest to encourage high school students to reflect on topics related to mental health and wellness.
