As referenced in the May 8, 2018 letter, two sets of letters were issued in June.
One set of letters was the Pre-Approval Letter. These were sent to households verified by the CLEAR Batch system. Recipients of this letter do not need to verify residency this summer.
The other set of letters was the Residency Verification Required Letter. These were sent to (1) households with insufficient or inconsistent public records and (2) randomly selected households that were pre-approved by the CLEAR Batch system. Recipients of this letter must verify residency this summer. Residency verification is available online or in person.
Beginning July 2, 2018 through July 20, 2018, you can verify residency via the Campus Portal using using ONLY a parent account.

- Click “Parent Forms & Resources”
- Click on “D219 Residency”
- Scan and upload FOUR documents (one document from Category 1 and three documents from Category 2)

If you are unable to upload documents, Niles North and Niles West will be open to upload the documents into your Campus Portal for you. Please be sure to bring valid identification and originals of the required type of documents as outlined in the June 8th Letter and in your Campus Portal under “Residency”. The Residency Office is available by appointment only.

The District reserves the right to conduct a thorough investigation, which may require additional proof of residence. Parents, who falsify their residence information for the purpose of obtaining tuition-free attendance for their children, commit a criminal offense and may be subject to legal action, including recovery of tuition for attending the school.
