Why is it Important?
Niles North and PCA believe in Character Education through participation in high school sports.  Research has shown that high school student-athletes that participate in "Honor The Game" experiences have more fun and perform at a higher level.  Niles North and PCA are preparing athletes for success in life on and off the playing fields.  Administrators, coaches, parents and athletes need to be on the same page about developing a culture that honors the game.

What is it?
Niles North and PCA have entered into a partnership to foster the development of an "Honor The Game" culture.  PCA is a valuable resource that supports Niles North Vikings Athletics mission of being an outstanding educational-athletic institution.  PCA forms a bridge that spans the cultural divide between faculty and non-faculty staff, and raises the stature of coaches as key mentors whose efforts are ensuring the positive development of student-athletes.  PCA demonstrates a methodology to help Niles North develop a culture where the behaviors of coaches, parents, fans and players reflect a commitment to honoring the game.  PCA is a research based program featuring proven tools for administrators, coaches and parents.
