WYSE Competes at Regionals, Qualifies for Sectionals
The Niles North Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering (WYSE) Club competed at the Regional Competition at Oakton Community College on February 3. WYSE teams compete against other high schools in the areas of mathematics, English, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, computer fundamentals and engineering graphics.
The WYSE team won the following awards:
Jiedong Duan, first place in Math; Jiedong Duan, first place in English; Connor Perreault, third place in Chemistry; Ahmad Zaidi, third place in Engineering Graphics; and Dominik Yakoebek, third place in Computer Science.
Jiedong Duan qualified for the WYSE Sectional event at Vernon Hills High School on March 17.
