Lacey to Conduct Workshop at ISTE 2012
District 219 Director of Instructional Technology Dr. Phillip Lacey will present a workshop during the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) 33rd annual Conference and Exposition held June 24 through 27 at the San Diego Convention Center. This annual event is the premier face-to-face forum in which to learn, exchange and survey the field in education technology and attracts upwards of 18,000 attendees from across the globe.
Dr. Lacey’s workshop is titled “Free Up Your Curriculum Using Open Educational Resources” and will explore how to assemble online curricular lessons tailored to students’ needs, while developing a more dynamic and accessible learning environment using open educational resources.
Dr. Lacey has been the Director of Instructional Technology for Niles Township High School District 219 since 2003. He was a high school science instructor for seven years, and holds an M.S. Ed. in Instructional Technology and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership. He currently serves as the Past President of the Illinois ISTE affiliate Illinois Computing Educators.
