Niles Township residents and business owners are encouraged to review Niles Township High School District 219's annual update of its Five-Year Plan. D219 mailed the publication to all households and business addresses in the township, and copies are being delivered this week. The report is also available online at:

The publication outlines highlights of the 2011-12 school year, which is the third year covered by the Five-Year Plan adopted in 2009 by the D219 Board of Education. It also includes an update of the district's financial condition. The plan focuses on five key strategies adopted by the board to achieve the board's goal: to increase the academic achievement of every student.
